Fashion is not about only clothes !

Fashion is not about only clothes!

Hi friends, hope you all are doing good. One fine morning, my friend asked me what is fashion? And I tried my best to answer him, at the end I thanked him. Do you know why? Because I came to know about people’s perspectives on fashion. “Fashion” is not about only clothes. Fashion is all about creativity, it is for aesthetic and decorative purposes but sometimes it is focused more on functional purposes. Fashion and clothes are inseparable things. As I said before, fashion is not about only clothes.

Even by seeing our dress people can psychologically judge us a little bit about us. Like what type of dress to wear. Clothes are the very closest things to our bodies. They are like a second skin to our body. The clothes we put on every day can tell a story of “who we are?” to the world and have a major impact on emotions and mood.

Fashion also includes our attitude, behavior, how we walk, how we speak, how we behave in a professional environment, interpersonal relationships and social situations, and very importantly how we communicate with people who surround us like friends, staff, office mates, our superiors, children, and even strangers we meet in our daily life in the places like public transport, in the pavement, in a shop as a customer and also as a shop owner with a customer.

Apart from textiles, it includes several other industries like accessories, cosmetics, and everything that we are using in our daily life. Let’s start with toothbrushes, how many of us know that our toothbrush got evolved?. Yes, it got. Likewise the toothbrush, mirrors, faucets, sanitary wares, home appliances, wood works in a home, cutleries, technologies involving communication and entertainment, accessories, vehicles, buildings, arts, etc…

So finally, friends don’t forget one thing “when it comes to fashion it involves each and every sector and industry”.  Drop your comments below & thanks for your love and support and keep supporting us.

Debriefing Textiles

DEBRIEFING TEXTILES

Let’s zoom in on the aspects of the textiles. For starters, we made a hierarchy of the crux that explains how textiles evolved from the Stone Age to the modern world.

The Textiles is classified into four:

Ø  Fabric

Ø  Garment design

Ø  Art Forms

Ø  Fashion updates

·       Fabric:

Fabric is not like what many of us think of as finished, ready-made output. Rather, it’s the opposite of what we think. Yes, it’s simply an unfinished, plain cloth. It can either be both a natural or artificial process which includes the process of selection like whether this by-product is suitable for us to wear or not, how impurities got removed, how that by-product converts into a thread, and how with a compilation of thread, we make a full-blown cloth, how that cloth got dyed or colored like that. But at the end of the day, our ultimate goal was to make things practical and convenient for our daily lives.

·       Garment Design:

Garment simply means a finished product or dress. When we combine the design into the apparel or garment, it adds a finishing touch like a dessert we have after a complete meal. Our main purpose is to wear a dress to cover ourselves. Like in Psychology, once our basic needs are fulfilled, we as humans tend to look up to higher-order needs. Here comes the Aesthetic purpose in textiles, which is fully focused on attraction, the beauty of the cloth. Simply put, focused on design.

Design, as we all know, it’s a creative process. We can do it on both real (expressed on paper) and virtual (Software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Photoshop). The designer’s mental image or thought process inside him will be conveyed as design output. Designing in textiles does not simply stop at the dress. It continues like watches, jewelry, shoes, belts, and bags, as every daily life product we use has Textile. For Example, a watch strap, an exercise mat. So, this field of study does not simply stop at the dress.

·       Art Form:

The art form is a universal thing. It is a way to express our feelings and creativity. It splits into three.

o   Tribal Art – Tribal people’s way of living was expressed in a simple form, like geometric shapes, and lines.

o   Traditional Art – Focuses on Minute detail and symbolic representation of God, literature, and mythological stories.

o   Modern Art- Doodle, Graffiti, Tattoos, Pop art. Starts in the 19th century

It differs across cultures, norms, beliefs, customs, and ethnicity. It’s subjective and inclusive in nature.

·     Fashion Updates:

Fashion does not just end with textiles. Everything around us is Fashion. It covers every sector. Recent developments and news about the same happen and update themselves every single day. That explains the purpose of our Blog!
